The Building
Opened in 1906, it is a masterpiece of Edwardian Baroque architecture, built to reflect Belfast's status as a booming industrial city (thanks to linen and shipbuilding).

- Times: Usually 3 times a day (check the reception desk).
- What you see: The red-carpeted grand staircase, the Council Chamber, and the Great Hall. The history of the stained glass windows is fascinating.
The Grounds
The lawns are crowded with office workers having lunch on sunny days.
